Hard Rock Hotel Marbella

The hotel looks great — stylish decor, nice pool area, and a good breakfast. Unfortunately, none of that mattered because we didn’t sleep at all. There was a full-blown party going on in the room next door or above us until after 5am — shouting, screaming, slamming doors, drunk conversations in the corridor and on balconies. The worst part? No staff did anything about it. To make things worse, the air conditioning in our suite didn’t work, so we were roasting all night on top of the noise. I paid for an upgraded suite, and it was a complete waste. This isn’t what you expect from a hotel of this level. I should be refunded for the stay — and I’m still waiting for my deposit to be returned, which only adds to the frustration.

From start to finish we had a great time even though the weather wasn’t in our favour 10-14th March the hotel and staff really made up for it. Prior to my stay the staff in guest services looked after any queries I had , on arrival we were warmly welcomed by Jesus the Valet and taken over to VIP reception. The girls made us feel so welcome big shout out to Ainhoa and her staff they looked after any queries or requests we had. We had both the Rockstar Suite and a Deluxe room next door. Slight confusion on our board basis but rectified straight away once we showed our conformation. Once all check inn procedures were completed we were brought to our rooms . Wow the Rockstar suite was incredible it’s more than just a suite it covers a huge amount of floor space and ample room to throw a party with enough space for everyone to chill out in. Each day the room was cleaned to an exceptional high standard and turned down each evening which was ideal to come back too. The deluxe room equally as nice and spacious and also had a large balcony too overlooking the pool. Cleanliness was off high standard too. Breakfast- vast selection and of good standard our only gripe items could be hotter. We did have a slight issue on day 2 where we were asked to pay but on discussing with the host they checked it out and we were covered. Half Board Dinner - Great selection of items on display , again could be warmer but the salad items were great. The show cooking , they need to cook items more even after requesting well done they were not fully cooked . Not much catering for vegetarian and staff were reluctant to cook some pasta etc but once done it was extremely fresh and hot. UTC bar - great drinks and service by Sergio ,Gabi, Luicia ,CR7 (Rodrigo)and many more thanks a million. The bar snacks and light bites were great and the atmosphere matched the service . As rockstar suite guest we had a complimentary Bali bed but as it was out of season we had a choice of any. The pools terraces were lovely with exceptional service poolside when the sun came out . Pools were to cold this time year as not heated. Also include with the rockstar suite was daily access to the Water Circut in the spa. This was a wonderful benefit and we used it daily due to the weather. Spa staff were lovely . The gym has been extended since my last stay which is great to see. Great to see a familiar face from my last stay Fahad and any day we saw him he also stopped to ask how our stay was . As we had to checkout early guest services had arranged a wonderful picnic for us to take to the airport which included sandwiches, fruit Juice , water etc Thanks again HRH Marbella for looking after me and my family ye guys rock 🤘🏼

Disliked · We travelled with a child and found when we arrived that there were no baby changing facilities downstairs so whilst we were enjoying the evening entertainment we had to keep going back to our room to change our baby. We also have found out that they don’t accommodate rooms depending on needs and rooms are allocated on who checks in first. We were allocated the last room of the hotel which was 5 corridors away from a lift with a child. The room was also different to the pictures of the room we booked. The distance of our room from the lift made the frequent travels to our room to change our baby a bit of a treck. There was also not enough baby high chairs at breakfast meaning a 25-30 minute wait for a high chair each morning. Staff would go missing every time you asked for one, best hunting round to find one yourself. Would not recommend if travelling with young children. We were also told we had to pay €250 to use a Balinese day bed, however other guests were using them free of charge (glad we did not pay the €250). Customer service are useless and do not respond to any emails or resolve any complaints. You are also charged a hefty deposit when you check in which you are not pre warned about (150 per night I think). This is refunded a few days after check out so just be prepared to have the extra cash available.
